A veteran of five Newport-Bermuda races and three Miami-Montego Bay races, Cai’s highlights include a win at Antigua Race Week and an overall victory in the 2005 Miami-Nassau Race on which he skippered the original Caraluna, his Tim Jackett designed C&C 99.

Unmistakable with her beautiful red hull, the original Caraluna captured plenty of silver!

Cai owned and ran Castle Harbor Sailing and Powerboat School in Coral Gables, FL for 25 years. During this time, he won the Ensign National Championship in 1995. The Caraluna 245 is a modern daysailer that blends Cai’s professional understanding of learn to sail programs with his countless fond memories daysailing and racing his Ensigns.

Now a raconteur, amateur sailboat racer, spiritual advisor, poet, and purveyor of fantastic sailboats, Cai is always available…for any and all of the above!
